Vacavile's Imagine That!
This class is for children 8-12 years of age.
Let your children unleash their inner maker through this hands-on hybrid class of crafts and science. Throughout the class, they will learn about the different simple machines that are present everywhere in the world that makes all of our lives easier, along with scientific terms associated with them. With cardboard, hot glue, tape, and other tools, we will construct different machines and experiment with them individually. In addition, we will cover the basics of simple circuits and play with LED lights. The goal of the class is to have the students observe the world a little differently by recognizing the simple machines and circuits that are being used around us and to spark their creativity by providing a platform where they can experiment and play with each concept. Be aware, we will be using hot glue guns and scissors to construct different mechanisms. Space is limited. This is an ongoing series.
